Dear guests, we have put together this page to provide you with information regarding the impact of COVID-19 on our business and Gili Trawangan in general. We hope you are all well during these testing times. We simply cannot wait to welcome you back into our little piece of paradise once the current situation has reached manageable levels.
COVID-19 CASES IN GILI TRAWANGAN
There have been zero reports of anyone with Covid-19 on any of the Gili Islands. Strict entry/exit procedures were put in place to limit the movement of people, and only those with the relevant test results and associated healthcare paperwork were given permission to enter the islands.
COVID-19 cases in Lombok seem to have been
centralized around the major city of Mataram.
Indonesia is currently closed to tourists. This is looking likely to change in July, with discussions amongst neighbouring countries regarding ‘travel bubbles’ between certain destinations. We are also led to believe that domestic tourism may resume in July as well.
All fast boats between Bali and Lombok have stopped running. There are currently several flights running between the two islands, but access to the islands is limited to residents and essential workers, so tourists cannot visit us at present. As soon as we have more concrete information regarding the accessibility to Gili Trawangan, we will be certain to update you here.
